Newsletter-January 2023

Hello from Patient-Led Research Collaborative (PLRC)! We are excited to share with you some important updates and highlights of our last few months.

Webinar Series:
Patient-Led Research Scorecards

In partnership with the Council of Medical Specialty Societies (CMSS), we have developed scorecards that evaluate how effective a patient group and research partner collaboration will be at conducting truly patient-led research.

We’re hosting three webinars that will explain the scorecards and teach how they can be used to promote patient-led research. These scorecards were developed based off our own experience partnering with research organizations, with input from our incredible advisory board, and using insights from interviews with patients, researchers, and funders.

Target audience:
Patients and patient organizations
Researchers and research organizations

  Recent Updates

Hannah Davis and Lisa McCorkell, two of PLRC’s co-founders and people with Long COVID, co-authored a paper with Dr. Eric Topol and Julia Moore Vogel in Nature Reviews Microbiology entitled, “Long COVID: major findings, mechanisms and recommendations.” They review major findings of Long COVID research; diagnostic tools and treatments; impact of vaccines, variants, and reinfections; and challenges and recommendations for future research and policy.

To recap the end of our 2022:

Thank you for all of your support of PLRC! Stay tuned for much more to come in 2023.
